Who we are
FreightGauge is a freight review and shipper-support service of Capital Row LLC. For privacy requests, contact smercier@thecapitalrow.com and identify FreightGauge in your message.
Your private invoice check
Files you select in the checker are processed on your device using software delivered with this website. The checker does not upload your documents, extracted text or comparison figures to FreightGauge, a broker, an AI provider or a storage service. Working data stays in page memory; use “Clear all records,” reload, or close the page to discard it. Reports you download or print remain wherever you save them. Scanned documents use local English-language optical character recognition, which can make mistakes.
Site visits and browser storage
Hosting and access providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser details, requested pages and access times to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the site. The site’s own code remembers your motion preference in local storage and whether you dismissed the free-offer popup or submitted a request in session storage. These preferences stay on your device. The decorative video remains paused by default on small screens and may also remain paused when your browser requests reduced motion or data savings. You can use the video control to play or pause it. Request details are not saved in browser storage. It adds no advertising pixels, marketing cookies or analytics scripts. The same site behavior applies whether or not your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Hosting providers may separately use technologies needed to operate their services.
When you request a review
The request form sends your company name, work email, selected issue, optional shipment-volume estimate, freight responsibility and message to FreightGauge’s hosted request database. It also records the time, request source, request reference and a hashed network identifier used for abuse prevention; it does not collect invoice files. Access to the requests inbox is restricted to the site operator. Requests are not automatically sent to HubSpot or to a broker. If you instead use an email link, your email app opens and we receive the message and any attachments only when you send it. We use that information to respond, assess your request, provide requested services and maintain business records. Email and service providers may process it to support those activities. Do not send confidential shipment records in the initial inquiry; first confirm the scope, confidentiality terms and transfer method. You may request an NDA.
When you request the checklist
We collect your email address and record that you requested the freight-charge checklist, along with the request time, reference and a hashed network identifier for abuse prevention. The email is stored in the operator’s private requests inbox. After a successful request, a first-party access cookie remembers checklist access for up to 30 days. It contains a random reference, not your email. The checklist opens on this site; this version does not automatically send an email or sync your details to a broker or HubSpot. We use this record to provide the requested resource, handle related inquiries and maintain business records. A checklist request does not enroll you in marketing texts. You can decline related email follow-up by replying “unsubscribe” or using the privacy contact above.
Broker referrals and service providers
If you request help with transportation, relevant business contact and shipment details may be shared with the identified broker or provider needed to address your request. Before confidential shipment records are shared, the recipient and permitted purpose should be confirmed with you. FreightSaver and other brokers operate under their own contracts and privacy notices. We may also disclose information when required by law or to address fraud, security or legal claims.
Business outreach
FreightGauge may use Apollo to source relevant business contact information and Reply.io to manage email follow-up. Such records can include business name, role, employer, work contact details, source and communication preferences. Any outreach tracking is separate from the private checker. See outreach preferences for details and opt-out instructions.
Retention and choices
We retain business correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide services, maintain required records or resolve a dispute. A minimal suppression record may be kept to honor an opt-out. Shipment-record retention is addressed in the service engagement. Request access, correction, deletion or an end to marketing using the contact above. We may verify your identity and explain any legal exception that prevents a request from being fulfilled. Rights depend on applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where permitted, and we do not penalize you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Security and external links
Only provide records you are authorized to share, and redact unrelated sensitive information. No internet or email system is risk-free. Links to partner examples and other websites open services with their own privacy practices. This website is intended for business users, not children under 16. Direct QuickBooks and accounts-payable integrations are not currently enabled.
Changes
We will update this notice and its effective date when these practices change. Review the applicable service scope for any additional handling of information outside this website.
